We're pleased to announce that registration for our Recreational Summer Soccer program opens on Monday, February 16th (Family Day). This is a great opportunity to get involved and enjoy the season ahead.
Key Registration Dates
Early Bird Fees: Available February 16th until March 31st.
Regular Fees: (Early bird Price Plus $50 per person) April 1st to April 15th .
Youth (U4-U18, born 2022-2008): Registration closes April 15th
Adults: Registration closes April 29th.
We strongly encourage early registration. It allows us ample time to handle registrations with our
governing bodies, form teams, and coordinate coaches effectively.
Program Updates
Canada Soccer has adjusted the grassroots mini soccer programs to support improved player development across all levels. These changes aim to create a more progressive pathway for young athletes, emphasizing skill-building, fun, and age-appropriate competition.
Specific impacts for our club:
U9 (born 2017): This group remains in the mini program, playing 5v5 games locally at Dochart Park. It keeps the focus on community-based play and basic skill development.
U13 (born 2013): This age continues in the older grassroots segment, participating in 9v9 games through the Goulbourn Lanark Soccer League (GLSL). This format bridges the gap to full 11v11 soccer, introducing more tactical elements while maintaining a developmental emphasis.
Due to our club's continued growth, we're optimizing field usage by adjusting the mini program (U4-U9) schedules:
U4 (2022), U5 (2021), U6 (2020): One Session per week on Saturday mornings at 9:00 AM at Dochart Park.
U7 (2019), U8 (2018), U9 (2017): 2 Sessions: One on Thursdays at 6:00 PM and another Saturday mornings at 10:00 AM at Dochart Park.
This setup provides more opportunities for play while managing our busy fields and limited parking.
