Coaching Registration Forms and Courses

There are two different forms for team officials to use to register -- the difference is the age of the team official, not the age of the players on the team!

 

If unsure of team name, enter:  unsure

This form to be completed by the applicant (coach/assistant coach/manager) if the applicant is 18 years of age or older

This form to be completed by a parent or legal guardian if the applicant (coach/assistant/manager) is under 18 years of age

 

Coaching Courses:

New in 2023:  Understanding the Rule of 2  -- all EOSL 

New in 2023:  Emergency Action Plan (EAP) -- all EOSAL 

Coaching in Canada course is required for all coaches/assistant coaches U8+:  this is a module embedded in the Active Start/Fundaments/Learn to Train/Soccer for Life courses -- click link for the appropriate level.

Making Headway -- all EOSL

*Respect in Sport -- all coaches/assistant coaches U8+ all leagues (must be renewed every 5 years)

Making Ethical Decisions  this has two parts, the course and the evaluation, both required -- all EOSL

Fundamentals (both online and in person portions required) -- U9 EOSL

Learn to Train (both online and in person portions required) -- U10-U12, EOSL

Soccer for Life (both online and in person portions required) - U13+, EOSL 

**New in 2023:  Coaching in Canada -- recreation teams U8+

*Coaches that have completed Respect in Sport for another sport (ie hockey) do not need to take the course again for soccer, however, this course expires after 5 years and must be taken again to maintain coach qualifications.

**This course is a module in the online Fundaments,  Learn to Train, Soccer for Life  coaches register for the online portion only and only need to complete this one module for recreation teams (U8 mini and U10+ GLSL)

Police Records Check for working with the Vulnerable Sector:  required for all team officials for youth teams playing in the EOSL (competitive teams), and for recreation teams (as of 2023), valid for 3 years from date of completion by Police.  A letter of volunteer status can be provided for registered team officials.
